Monster Book Fair October 19th - 23rd
The annual Fall Book Fair arrives at the Peter Noyes School Library on October 20th. Consider the advantages to purchasing books at our school's Book Fair:
Students (grades 1-5) will preview the Book Fair on October 16th and then have the opportunity to buy books during their regularly scheduled Library period during their regularly scheduled Library period. October 19th - 23rd.
Parents can visit the Fair during the hours listed below. Cash, checks made payable to the Peter Noyes PTO, and Visa/MasterCard will be accepted. Kindergarten children will not be visiting the Book Fair with their class during their Library period. Please visit the Book Fair with your kindergartener during the hours listed below. Both students and teachers will complete Wish Lists to identify books they would like to have. Your child's Wish List will be sent home after Preview Day. Teachers' Wish Lists will be posted at the Fair. Consider buying a book to help teachers add to their classroom collections! In addition to the Book Fair, we will be running a coin drive called, "ALL FOR BOOKS." In the next few weeks, we will be putting a collection box for students to donate their loose change or dollar bills in each classroom. The classroom with the most money at the end of the coin drive will get a reward. Best of all, all of the money collected goes directly to non-profit organizations dedicated to helping kids and families in need AND Scholastic will match all of the money collected in books for our own library. We can turn our kids into reading creatures of habit, but we need your help. We have shifts in all shapes and sizes starting Thursday, October 15th through the following Friday. Classes are collecting fund for our All for Books program. You can donate in the baggie sent home to help us: purchase books for classroom libraries give more children greater access to books help get more kids reading, and kids reading more THANK YOU! |
