The Peter Noyes Earth Expo is a great way to become involved in your child’s schooling and to focus on the educational aspects of it, along with the environmental impacts we all have. We have begun our preliminary planning and are looking for folks to join our committees. There are a variety of jobs to do, both small and large, some leading up to the event, some only on the day of the event… And we need your help

- Coordinate volunteers based on interest, availability, needs, and tasks
- Contact potential vendors/science in the community participants
- Schedule
- Be POC for companies/camps/organizations
- Manage baked good sign-ups
- Bring (or get donated) napkins and/or paper plates for bake sale
- Request cash box from Assistant Treasurer two weeks before event
- Organize and price items on the night of Earth Expo
- Run bake sale table night of Earth Expo
- Manage table covering
- Coordinate pizza ordering, pickup/delivery (2 deliveries so pizzas stay warm (and see if we can hold on to some warming bags between deliveries))
- Look into pizza donations
- Coordinate water donations/purchasing
- Bring (or get donated) paper plates and napkins
- Request cash box from Assistant Treasurer two weeks before the event
- Manage table covering
- Compile & sort registrations (based on topic/representation/etc.)
- Work with Set Up Coordinator to plan required space per project
- Run check-in table at night of Earth Expo
- Coordinate volunteers to setup
- Work with Registration Coordinator to plan required space per project & setup appropriately
- Coordinate with Noyes for tables, chairs, trash cans, space, etc.
- Coordinate volunteers to break down
- Coordinate with Noyes and Setup Coordinator for tables, chairs, trash cans, space, etc.
- Take compiled list of registered projects and list of Science in the Community to create scavenger hunts (multiple versions, if possible) Expo attendees
- Hand out (sharpened) pencils for kids to use to fill out their hunt
- Man the table so that students can return their completed hunts, and then either they can keep the pencil or pick a different prize from the prize box
- Rewrap or repair prize box as needed
- Push out information, reminders, flyers
- Post on Facebook, send emails
- Create signs for: bake sale, pizza & water, scavenger hunt, registration, Science in the Community, etc.
- Run Noyes wear table
- Discuss possible new Earth Expo products
