Sudbury Youth Wrestling
Sudbury Youth Wrestling, founded in 2001, is a non-profit organization run by volunteer coaches. SYW, part of Friends of Sudbury Wrestling, is affiliated with the Mass. Youth Wrestling Association and is one of over 100 such clubs in Massachusetts. Practices are held Tuesday and Thursday nights 6-7:30 PM at Lincoln-Sudbury RHS and will begin the week of December 1st.
The primary goal of the program is to introduce 3rd- 8th graders to amateur folkstyle wrestling in a competitive environment, foster a young wrestler's potential through their commitment to the sport and act as a feeder program for the L-S High School wrestling team. No prior experience is necessary.
Registration is available via attached form or online at www.sudburywrestling.com .
The fee for the 2014-15 season is $150 and covers L-S facility rental fees, equipment, insurance coverage and club t-shirts.
Wrestlers participate in scrimmages in December and January with other local wrestling clubs. No standings, team scores or wins/losses are recorded at scrimmages. These are usually held Friday nights or Saturday mornings.
Tournaments and dual meets are scheduled throughout New England many weekends in December, January, February and March. Coaches, parents and wrestlers decide which tournaments they wish to compete in.

Hi all! We are the Gen Z for change club at Lincoln Sudbury high school, and our goal is to improve the lives of those in need. This year we are supporting the charity Cradles to Crayons. Cradles to Crayons is a non-profit organization that provides homeless and low-income children living in Boston with the essentials they require to thrive - to feel safe, warm, ready to learn, and valued. We are looking for donations, which will be going to these families. Some items that are needed include:
Clothing (kids' sizes 0–20 and adult sizes Small & Medium)
Shoes, boots, sneakers, and sandals (infant/child sizes 0–13 and youth/adult sizes 1–10)
Winter and rain jackets
New socks and underwear
Books, especially baby board books
Brand new arts and crafts/school supplies
Baby supplies, especially bedding
Diapers, all sizes
Baby equipment, especially strollers and car seats within five years old
New hygiene supplies for ages 0 to 12
Thank you! We hope there is something you can contribute!
Here’s a great opportunity for all girls in grades 3-8 to try basketball for the first time or for returning players to tune-up for the winter season. In this fundraiser for the LS Varsity Girls Basketball team, the experienced and energetic varsity players will run stations designed to develop individual skills in a fun environment. Girls will be grouped based on age and ability, so the drills will be “just right” for each group. Advanced registration is encouraged at www.SudburyBasketball.com but Walk-ins are welcome the day of each clinic. Attend one or both.
Date: Sunday, November 2
Time: 3-4:30 pm for 3rd, 4th & 5th graders
4:30-6 pm for 6th, 7th & 8th graders
Location: The Fieldhouse Sudbury
