This program will address financial planning for your child with special needs, from childhood through the transition to adulthood and then beyond the time you are able to care for them.
Topics will include:
• Timeline / roadmap of transition points and services
• Guardianship issues and considerations
• How to maximize --and preserve-- eligibility for government benefits
• What happens when your child comes out of his/her education plan
• Vocational residential options
The presentation will last one hour, with the rest of the time for Q&A.
Speakers:
Neil Blicher, CFP ®, Baystate Financial and Special Needs Planner, MetLife Center for Special Needs Planning. Neil has over 20 years of financial services experience. He lives in Sudbury with his wife Liz and three kids, and his youngest child attends New England Academy in Beverly.
Rich Harwood, CLU®, CAP, Baystate Financial and Special Needs Planner, MetLife Center for Special Needs Planning. Rich has almost 30 years of financial services experience, focused primarily on special needs planning. He has served of the Board of the Arc of Massachusetts and the Kennedy Donovan Center.
