The Goodnow Library and the Goodnow Library Foundation are excited to announce the creation of a Library Apprentice Group!
Our goal is to provide an opportunity for tweens and teens to learn new literacy and technology skills while promoting library services and materials. Working together we will create digital content such as video book reviews using green screens, whiteboard animation, and more. Pizza and fun is always guaranteed! Participants will also earn 1 community service hour for every meeting they attend. Our first meetings will be January 15th and February 5th from 5:00-6:00 PM in the Historical Room of the Goodnow Library (21 Concord Road, Sudbury, MA 01776). On-going meetings will be held every 1st and 3rd Thursday at the same time. Please register in advance through the YA Calendar at goodnowlibrary.org. Head to the library in January for Lego clubs, book groups, and reading to Booboo the dog! For full events visit our calendar:www.goodnowlibrary.org/calendar
Layer up and hit the road! The Greg Hill Foundation is proud to present this unique 5K celebrating all that is special about the season.
Your registration fee includes a race entry, event shirt, finisher medal, post race food, complimentary beer and more! Ending at 29 Sudbury we have a runner & walker friendly course with surprises and treats along the way. Warm-up post race with hot holiday favorites. LS Youth Baseball is now accepting registrations for our Spring 2015 season. If you would like to register your child please go to our website at www.LSBaseball.org and click on register on-line.
Register before Jan. 5th to avoid a $25 late fee. (Any registrations after Jan. 23rd will be charged a $75 late fee.) Players in grades enrolled in kindergarten through 7th grade (and who will be 12 or under as of April 30, 2015) are welcome. For more information check out our website. If you have any questions or difficulty registering contact Laurie Ensley at laurie.ensley@gmailcom. Looking for ways to recognize your outstanding educator during the holidays? Honor him or her with an ACE (Appreciation of Champions in Education) Award. When you make a donation to SERF (Sudbury Education Resource Fund) in honor of a teacher, specialist, tutor or administrator, the honored educator receives an ACE Award Certificate indicating that a donation has been made to SERF in his or her name as a "Champion in Education." The school principal also receives notice of the award, so that the honoree can be recognized among the school's faculty and staff. Your donation improves the classroom experience by enabling SERF to fund grant requests made by Sudbury educators (K-12) for innovative projects, technology and materials. Order your tax-deductible ACE Awards online at the SERF website . Deadline for Holiday ACE Award requests is Friday, December 12. Your donation will benefit teachers and students by funding SERF grants requested by our educators. Visit the website to learn more about the grants funded this year at Noyes!
